Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.

Applications are actually open and may close on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the following criteria:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a house that has a combined gross residence earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined family profits does not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and need not submit any evidence of earnings.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined website R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
